Siamese

The Siamese is one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Oriental cat. The breed originated in Thailand (formerly known as Siam), where they are one of several native breeds and are called Wichian Mat (a name meaning "moon diamond"). In the 20th century the Siamese cat became one of the most popular breeds in Europe and North America. – source: Wikipedia.org: Siamese (cat).

Some Siamese cats (and related breeds such as the Himalayan) are cross-eyed. This eye condition is known as Strabismus and is due to the optic chiasm having abnormal uncrossed wiring. Such a cat compensates by crossing its eyes. Due to selective breeding the trait is far less common today. – source: Wikipedia.org: Siamese (cat).
