"Sugar was adopted from the San Francisco SPCA on Super Bowl Sunday 2008 when she was six years old. At the shelter she jumped into each of our laps and gave us a nose kiss to seal the deal and get her new name.
Sugar is an absolute sweetheart and lives up to her name every day. She is very loving and connects with all who visit our home. She is still a very playful kitty and she can have fun with anything – a tube of Chapstick, a dust bunny or a paper bag or box.
In January 2013 Sugar was diagnosed with mammary cancer. Her mission is to raise awareness about the importance of regular breast exams for pets."
