About Lucy

"Lucy is blind but doesn't know it and doesn't care. Abandoned in a shoe box on the side of a dry desert road in Muscat, Oman. Discovered by a nice lady (from the Meow Mau cat rescue group) who loves cats and owns a pet sitting service. Lucy's blindness is different from most cats in that it is due to brain damage when she was a fetus. Many kittens and cats get put to sleep because they are misdiagnosed. Lucy's name, phonetically in Persian, means spoiled one. And coincidentally, Saint Lucy is the patron saint of the blind. Both meanings are very appropriate." ~ Lucy-The Blind Cat.
